What you’re signing up for
Surplus Sam is the text messaging program of Surplus.com Corporation. The initial program covers replies about marketplace onboarding and the secure sign-in links you request. It does not sign you up for promotional messages.
Auction alerts, pickup reminders, and a morning brief are planned options. They are not included in this onboarding consent. We will explain those options and ask you to enable them separately when available.
How to connect your phone
When enrollment is available, sign in to your Surplus account, read the text-message disclosure, and check the optional consent box. Create a pairing message, then send that message from the phone you want to connect. Opening your text app only prepares a draft; you choose whether to send it.
A pairing code is private, single-use, and expires after 10 minutes. Your phone is connected only after we receive and verify the pairing message. Enter marketplace passwords and verification codes in the secure Vault form, never in a text message.
You stay in control
Message frequency varies with your requests. Message and data rates may apply. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of buying anything or using Surplus. You can manage marketplace connections on the website without opting in to SMS.
Reply STOP to (610) 819-4640 to unsubscribe. You may receive one confirmation of your request. Reply HELP for assistance, email support@surplus.com, or call (610) 915-8840.
After opting out, START or UNSTOP only removes the messaging block. It does not reconnect your Surplus account or restore alert subscriptions. To reconnect, sign in and complete a new consent and phone-pairing step. Tell us if you lose control of your phone number.
A helpful extra, not a deadline guarantee
Texts may be delayed or unavailable because of your carrier, connection, or a marketplace outage. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Check the marketplace itself for current deadlines, bids, payment instructions, and pickup requirements.
